Inspired by my own inability to improve my flexibility (it’s been a health goal for years now…), I want to help you achieve your health goals…by letting you know the reason you’re not yet achieving them…and showing you how you CAN.
You’ve got a health goal that you really want to achieve, but it’s just not happening.
You decide, from one moment to the next, that you want to get fit. Or eat better. Or increase your down time by doing more yoga.
But then, just as quickly as that goal entered your mind, it has soon been forgotten.
Or maybe not. Maybe you are one of the small percentage of very determined people who decide that you are going to change your ways, and you go cold turkey on eating junk food and successfully start eating better…and never turn back to that chocolate bar or those lollies ever, ever again.

The number one reason you are not achieving your health goals is that you don’t have a plan in place.
A health goal is very achievable if you create a plan to get you there.
Here are some ideas…
- Maybe you want to start exercising as you know how good it will make you feel. You could start by scheduling three separate sessions into your calendar for the week ahead. Then, you could write exactly what type of exercise you’re going to do – whether it’s going for a walk or run, attending a gym class or doing some body weight exercises at home. The more specific you get, the more likely you will be able to complete your goal as you are making it easy for yourself.
- Perhaps you decide you want to start to eat healthier. One way you could do this is to start planning your meals – I like to start with dinners as you can double the quantity and have lunch the next day too. On a Sunday, write a 5 day meal plan of dinners for the week ahead. Lunch can be planned as “leftovers” every day. Then, write a shopping list and buy your groceries for the week so that they are all in your fridge waiting to be cooked for dinner.
- Or maybe you have been wanting to schedule some down time as you know you lead such a crazy busy life…if only there were more hours in the day. This goal is pretty achievable before you go to sleep every night – set an alarm to go off on your phone 10 minutes before you usually go to bed, and once you have turned your phone off, spend 5 minutes taking some deep lower abdominal breaths. It’s not a full yoga class, but it will help to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, giving you some essential down time…and help you sleep better too!
Whatever the health goal is, you are way more likely to be able to reach it if you have a plan in place.
I challenge you to come up with a plan today (don’t put it off until the health goal is forgotten again), and see how it will help you achieve those goals you have been longing after for a long time.
